ANC status:(on) Afriforum and De Klerk Foundation
I still disagree with Mr Herman on the matter of exactly what can make a Afrikaner feel content with being a Afrikaner. I do not feel good about the past. I do know, I found peace with Mr Verwoerd, as I took it as a one chance in a million that Afrikaners received to get the matters fixed in 1994. Lately, it has been worrysome to me to find Afrikaners, fellow Afrikaners, don't share this idea. There are some who has your point of view, Mr Herman, but, then I ask myself, where did I miss what went on? As I am pretty sure the refendum for a new government amongst white people did happen and was indicative of the majority wanted it. So, now, I must still fear other Afrikaners if I am still of the same opinion as in the 1994's, we needed a real democratic South Africa, then why did Mr de Klerk and NNP members offer white people that choiçe in the 1994's. I don't see it as Mr Otto handing out some punishment to Afrikaners when he was merely expressing his own embarresment for being a Afrikaner and what he read in that book, was definitely not found acceptable ways to associate with your own life if you are a decent human being. His reaction was quite normal. So, then the battering went on, as other Afrikaners apparently found his remarks a punishment and they battered him back. They were out of line in the first place thinking he punished them! There was no such thing and I wonder how many Afrikaners felt the same way he did about the contents of the book. So, they must rather not express their resent of those events as maybe they'll get battered by the bunch who hit "back" at Mr Otto.
